Maria Fe Picar

 

Maria Fe Picar Is an Actress, Choreographer, Dancer, Director, Producer and Writer. She has worn many hats throughout her lifetime on this planet. As a San Francisco native she has earned a Bachelors’ Degree from SFSU in Physical Education with a Dance Emphasis, ran her own Dance/Creative Arts studio entitled Ingleside Creative Arts for twenty years where she taught various genres of Dance including Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, Modern Contemporary and Yoga. Through her years as a dancer she has had the pleasure to work with San Francisco greats such as Alonzo King, Arturo Fernandez, Cheryl Chaddick, Blanche Brown and Allen Frias.

She also ran a non-profit through generous artist- in residency grants with the San Francisco Foundation which was called The OMI Cultural Participation Project which enabled her to work with local city officials and community activists to create events, workshops, and art education programs for the Oceanview, Merced, and Ingleside district of San Francisco. Being a community activist she has also served on many Advisory boards including ones that helped develop the Ingleside Library, Minnie and Love Wards’ Recreation Center, and Unity Plaza. She also taught Pre-School for twenty years at Lone Mountain Children’s Center while working with her film production company that she co-founded called Asian Mainstream Productions. Asian Mainstream has produced over twenty shorts and three features in narrative and documentary styles that have earned numerous awards in local and international film festivals including cities like San Francisco, Miami, Las Vegas, New York City, Boston, Paris, Stockholm, and Barcelona. Now a resident of the Portland Metro area in Oregon, she still continues to teach Dance and Yoga (She is a RYT Yoga Instructor) to adults and Seniors on-line and in local community centers while acting, producing and directing films with local talent. She is so excited to work with this group of superstars because when great people get together, great things happen!

Norman Luce

 

Norman has always been fascinated with the arts. He graduated from the Foothill College Theater Conservatory as an actor, is a self-trained cinematographer, and is a self-published author. Some might describe Norman as a regular Renaissance man, but he prefers to think of himself as a curious explorer. Recently, Norman published his second book in an eventual trilogy and has completed filming a passion project inspired by the works of one of his favorite sci-fi authors, Ray Bradbury.

Maureen Cramer

 

Maureen is a filmmaker from the Bay Area.

She began her career as an actress and since her start, she has starred in multiple short films, voice overs, industrial commercials, web series like Shrink Spotlight and feature films such as Love, Cecy and more recently Soap Operas for Seniors.

While she has been a producer for the 48 hour film project for the San Francisco location, she has consistently worked with Asian Mainstream Productions (AMP) where she developed her skills as a writer, film producer, assistant director, and was given her very first opportunity to direct the re-enactment scene in the documentary, Borderline.

Melton Gallegos Garcia

 

Melton Gallegos Garcia is an up-and-coming filmmaker, and a social media manager, who offers unique and fresh ideas. Melton has worked on many projects, including short films, short skits, and an award-winning music video. He has professional experience recording for quinceaneras, school plays, and the Beaverton Education Foundation. As well as being a production assistant on a short film and 48-hour film festival. Melton is driven by a passion for visual storytelling and creating meaningful connections through digital platforms. His Latino background motivates him to create stories that connect with his community and highlight voices that are often overlooked online.

Rafael Musni

 

Rafael Musni is an actor who has worked commercially on camera and on stage for over ten years. Rafael took on the art personally as an actor, and has performed live on-stage in classic musicals, comedy, and several commercials and videos, including Intel & Beats. He especially enjoys Jazz Standards, musical theater tunes and Bobby Darin. He has performed in musicals, including West Side Story, Company, Wonderful Town, Legally Blonde and played the unflappable Billy Flynn in Chicago, the musical. His other plays include the title character in Brecht’s “Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui” and the character of Danforth in Miller’s “The Crucible”.

Rafael Musni is a San Francisco Native, the oldest of seven children, and having graduated St. Ignatius College Preparatory, he took a Film Studies Degree from San Francisco State University. After additionally studying film in Montreal, Canada, in a student exchange, he recruited students for State University’s year-long, Study Abroad Program, and then himself went to Paris, France for a work abroad program, teaching English. Upon returning, Rafael started a family of three children and began teaching K-5 science for the city school district.

Lila Raj

 

Lila Raj is a junior at San Francisco University High School with passions for writing, music, and psychology. She is a dedicated mental health advocate with believes in the power of art to destigmatize and improve mental wellness, especially in the AAPI community. As a freshman, Lila founded Advocacy and Wellness for Asian Youth, a nonprofit and online community that seeks to accomplish this mission. In her free time, you can find Lila curating her many Spotify playlists or pal yon the NYT Spelling Bee.
