Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues,

Lionel is the son of Filipino Immigrants from the 40’s and 50’s and grew up in Vallejo. This film will record the interviews of Filipino Americans that grew up in Vallejo during the 60’s and 70’s and what they witnessed as first and second generation Filipino Americans. The stories of daughters, sons, cousins, and siblings of Filipino immigrants that came over during World War II and worked in Vallejo and the surrounding Bay Area, their experiences included racism and segregation to name a few. Approximately 8-10 interviews that will cover stories of immigrant hardships, work discrimination and the assimilation of Filipinos in America, particularly in California will be recorded. But also what the future holds for them and their descendants.
